Dr. Martinez serves as Clinical Director for Special Olympics of Arizona's Special Smiles program, where he leads a dedicated team of dental professionals providing essential dental care to Special Olympics athletes. In this vital role, he coordinates with dental students, educators, and local dentists to ensure athletes receive comprehensive dental examinations. This leadership in community service reflects our practice's core values of excellence, compassion, and inclusive care for all children.

Our Team Gives Back

At Big Apple Pediatric Dentistry, we are passionate about giving back to our community. For every new patient that enters our office, we make a donation to the MinMin Bear Foundation, providing teddy bears to children undergoing treatment for kidney disease. Providing patients with comfort is one of the most important jobs we have here at the foundation, and our mascots, the MinMinBears, take this assignment very seriously. Our goal is to provide a sense of peace for the patient and their family during any part of their journey. Whether it’s a hospital stay, medical procedure, doctor’s appointment, or anything in between, our MinMinBears are ready to bring solace, empathy, and support.

We work with local area businesses because when one succeeds, we all do! As a proud member of the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce and our local community, Dr. Martinez is a regular at several neighborhood establishments. You might spot him grabbing lunch at El Fogon, where he enjoys their authentic Mexican cuisine. He's also a familiar face at Ace Hardware for his home improvement needs and makes weekly stops at Chris' Water & Ice!
