Hi there! I’m Dr. Henry Martinez, founder and pediatric dentist at Big Apple Pediatric Dentistry. I’ve dedicated my life to helping children maintain good dental health while creating a nurturing and comfortable environment for them to feel at ease during their dental visits.
My mission as a pediatric dentist is to create a welcoming and safe space where children feel comfortable and supported in their dental journey. I believe that every child deserves the highest quality of care, delivered with warmth, compassion, and genuine concern for their well-being. Through my kind and gentle approach, I strive to create positive dental experiences that will stay with my patients for a lifetime and inspire them to prioritize their dental health as a vital component of their overall wellness.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University as well as a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and a D.M.D. from Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health.
After completing my education, I received advanced postdoctoral education at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. I’m a board-certified pediatric dentist and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. I’ve also had the honor of being a fellow at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
I received additional training at the Rose F. Kennedy Center at Jacobi Medical Center to work with children with special needs. I also serve as a staff pediatric dentist at Chandler Regional Medical Center and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. I continually strive to expand my knowledge and expertise to provide my patients with the best dental care possible.
Outside of the office, I am a clinical director for the Special Smiles program within the Special Olympics of Arizona, a community board member of the Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA, and chair of the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health Alumni Association.
When I’m not practicing dentistry, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, Irina, and our son, Henry. We love exploring parks and playgrounds in our community and never pass up the opportunity for a movie night at home.
